Serving one of the most unique residential communities in the United States.
Indian Creek Village is a private, residential municipality situated on a man-made barrier island along Biscayne Bay in northeastern Miami-Dade County. Spanning approximately 0.46 square miles, the Village is composed of waterfront estates and the Indian Creek Country Club, connected to the mainland solely by the Surfside Bridge.
This highly controlled and intimate environment requires a tailored approach to public safety. The Indian Creek Village Public Safety Department is responsible for protecting the residents, visitors, and infrastructure of the Village while preserving the privacy and character that define the community.
The Department operates under a clear and consistent mission shared by every member:
“The Mission for every Member of this Department is to consistently seek and find ways to affirmatively promote, preserve and deliver a feeling of security, safety and quality services to the residents of and visitors to our community.”
This philosophy is reinforced daily through leadership, training, and direct engagement with residents. Officers are not only responsible for law enforcement, but also serve as a trusted resource for the community, assisting with a wide range of needs beyond traditional policing.
The result is a level of service defined by responsiveness, discretion, and strong relationships between the Department and the residents it serves.
